La Vase Portages

Fall on La Vase Portages

Height of Land Portage

Just to the south of the upper pond is the height of land between the Ottawa River and Lake Huron.

Cooper's Lake

Cooper's Lake can offer the most pleasant Fall time views if you are lucky enough to catch the Fall colours and sunshine at the same time.

Upper Pond

Portaging south from Brandy Lake is the upper pond area which is still very active with beaver activity.

Murray's Lookout

Mixed hardwoods of maple and birch display brilliant colours at the top of Murray's Lookout.

Telford's Landing

The south shore of Dreany Creek, across from Telford's Landing, was recorded as an existing native campsite by William Logan when he crossed and surveyed La Vase Portages on October 14, 1845.
