Friends of La Vase Portages Fundraising Campaign

Leatherdale Family Continues Support of La Vase Portages          15 Oct. '12

Picture

Friends of La Vase Portages Chair John Wipprecht was delighted to receive a donation of $600 towards the fundraising campaign in support of the recent aquisition of the historic route through Perron's Pond.  First published in 1975 by long time La Vase  advocate Dr Murray Leatherdale,  the book "Nipissing From Brule to Booth" was recently reprinted by the Leatherdale family and they were proud to honour Dr Leatherdale's memory with a donation from the proceeds towards the heritage route he cared so much for.  The book is available at Gulliver's Book Store in North Bay.
