Typically lands on the 3rd Saturday in July, Canoe Day is your chance to see the Portages for yourself and connect with all the individuals who had travelled the portages centuries ago.

Our favourite winter pastime, is a fantastic opportunity to see the trails and historical landmarks not seen at our other events. We can even explore the trails at both ends of the Portages!

Events during a Pandemic

In our effort to aid our community to distance themselves socially and keep safe during these difficult times of the Covid-19 Pandemic, We will not be hosting our events as per usual.

This year, we have developed a Virtual Speaker Series for our community to enjoy at no cost.

Bill Swift who will be showing us the main features of their solo Pack & Combi Canoes. Short videos of each will be shown and Bill will field any questions from the Zoom audience.

 

So if you've been thinking of buying a canoe for more solo paddling, you will want to join us.

There is something about canoeing and the outdoors that is good for your mind and soul so our group encourages you to reconnect with your canoe and paddle.
